The American political thriller drama series debuted on the ABC network on 21st September 2016. The series aired for two seasons on ABC before getting picked up by Netflix for a third season. David Guggenheim is the creator of the series. The series also garnered worldwide appreciation for its unique concept.

Release Date Of “Designated Survivor Season 4”
Sadly, the fourth season of the series’ official cancelation by Netflix came in July 2019. The story did not finish off on a good note in the third which was also the final season. The third season premiered globally on 7th June 2019. The reason for the cancelation is yet to be out. But as the third season left unanswered questions, fans are hoping for the revival of the series.
It is not unknown for a different network to pick up a canceled series. But for this series, such a case has not been announced.
The Plot Of The Series
The plot revolves around an American politician, Tom Kirkman. He is named as the designated survivor for the State of the Union address. He suddenly rises from the position of U.S. Secretary of Urban Development and Housing to occupy the highest office, the President of the United States. This event follows after an explosion kills everyone ahead of him in the presidential line of succession.
The fourth season if ever there is a revival might follow the story of Kirkman’s strong opposition to his presidential position. It may also focus on Kirkman’s morals and his circumstances, and also the significant consequences of his actions. The season may also focus on Kirkman’s son Leo Kirkman.
