Little evidence towards Democrats (Joe Biden) being anti-Indian

There is a wide-known friendship between the current US President Donald Trump and the Indan PM Narendra Modi. Also, the reports of Joe Biden’s party advocating anti-Indian laws do not seem to warn them off. According to the researchers at the University of Pennsylvania, The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Johns Hopkins University, Indian Americans do not pay much heed to the India-US relations. Instead, they want to focus on the current economical issues like healthcare. The research said, “Nearly three-quarters of registered Indian-Americans voters intend to support Joe Biden this fall, compared to just 22 percent for Donald Trump.”

They conducted the survey in the month of September, recording the responses of 936 Indian Americans. The aim of the survey was to understand the voting preferences of their ethnic community in the US. Out of the 1.9 million American citizens, 1.9 million are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections. As far the religious inclination is concerned, 82 percent of Muslims and 65 percent of Hindus favor Joe Biden. However, 45 percent of Christians favor Trump.

Kamala Harris galvanized the Indian Americans

It can be easily said that since Kamala Harris joined the campaign, the polls started shifting drastically. Her statements on her loving South Indian food have spawned a love for her. Indian Americans are the second-largest immigrant group in the United States. Even though they enjoy the economic policies which are favorable to them, Trump’s racial remark usually puts people off. There is a dichotomy within the Indian-American community. However, in the current campaign, Joe Biden takes the shot by a bigger margin. People are casting their votes in advance in this year’s election. Over 10.6 million Americans have already cast their vote. According to that, Democrats hold a considerable lead than the Republicans.
