  • Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for NER :

The scholarship under UGC focuses to promote North- Eastern Region students’ higher education. It aims to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio(GER). It is for the north-eastern students who have passed the 12th standard.
The annual salary of the student’s family from all sources must be less than Rs 4.50 lakh or less.

Eligibility: 12th standard passed North-Indian Region student
Number of scholarships: 10,000
Awards: Up to Rs 7,800 per month
Application mode: Through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
Application timeline: Between August and November

  • PG Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders :

The key aim of the scholarship under UGC is to encourage talented students to pursue PG. The student should have 605 or more in UG. The age should be below 30 years.
Additionally, they should have completed their graduation from Physical science, Chemical science, Mathematics, social science, commerce, or languages.

Eligibility: University 1st and 2nd rank holders at UG level and pursuing PG
Number of scholarships: 3,000
Awards: Up to Rs 3,100 per month for around two years
Application mode: Through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
Application timeline: Between August and November

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child : 

It is to support and compensate for the costs involved in girls’ education. The only girl student in families who are below 30 years can avail benefits. They should have taken admission in the first year of full-time, regular master’s degree courses.

Eligibility: Single girl child below age 30
Number of scholarships: 3,000
Awards: Rs 36,200 per year for 2 years
Application mode: Apply Through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
Application timeline: Between August and November

PG Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students for Professional Courses :

This scholarship aims to support SC/ST category students in professional subjects. The student should be in the first year of the course at the PG level.

Eligibility: SC/ST student studying in the first year at a PG level professional course.
Number of scholarships: 1,000
Awards: Up to Rs 7,800 per month and contingency up to Rs 15,00 per year
Application mode: Through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
Application timeline: Between August and November

Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme :

This aims to support full-time researcher students receiving or submitted their Ph.D. degree. Age should be below 35 years working on confirmed posts in academic institutions.

Eligibility: Ph.D. degree holders up to 35 years of age
Number of Fellowships: 300
Awards: Up to Rs 54,000 per month and a contingency grant of Rs 1 lakh per annum
Application timeline: Round the year
