Amazon Prime Video has renewed the superhero-themed The Boys Season 3. As The Boys Season 2 is premiering on September 4th, 2020. The news was announced during The Boys Comic-Con 2020 Panel, and it likely means a third season is coming in 2021, assuming Covid-19 production restrictions don’t hit the series.
Rogen and Goldberg showed a unique appearance at The Boys [email protected] Panel. Where they blessed the fans for viewing before Rogen replied:
“Because this show holds fans, and people like you watch it, they have selected to renew it yet afresh, for season 3.
So if you like The Boys, you got more of it.
The Boys is based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and is about a world where superheroes are a company-owned and corrupt force. A cell of violent activists known as The Boys and led by the charismatic, sweary Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) seeks to bring the ‘supes’ down.
Shows usually get renewed for another season early because they are so victorious, the first season’s release back in mid-2019. The Boys had “exceeded Amazons predictions” and became one of the most-viewed Amazon Prime originals to date.
The Boys Season 3 Wants to Bring in Jeffrey Dean Morgan
In the first season of The Boys taken viewers to the next level of the world of superheroes. We have all seen wondering what the second season and beyond will bring.
Well, one of those words will end up heading Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who openly asked for being in the cast in the show on social media last year. And it is now considering a possible appearance with showrunner Eric Kripke.
Who will star in The Boys season 3?
The entire main cast will return for season three of The Boys.
This indicates Karl Urban is back as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, and Antony Starr as John/Homelander. Erin Moriarty returns as Annie January/Starlight alongside Laz Alonso as Marvin/Mother’s Milk, Tomer Capon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko/The Female, and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir. Chace Crawford will be back as The Deep, besides Jessie T. Usher as A-Train and Dominque McElligott as Queen Meave.
Release of The Boys Season 2:
Another idea it probably makes reason to give The Boys an early renewal. As it takes a long time to film the show. Filming on season 2 finished in late 2019. The first three episodes will be releasing on September 4th. The fans are recommending a long turnaround on the series’ results work. The other chapters of season 2 will follow on succeeding weeks. A first episode, narrating season 1’s events, will be released on August 28th ahead of the show’s release.
