Apple Inc., the company with so many amazing products of its own like the iPhone, iPad, Mac personal computer, portable media player, smartwatch, etc, has just now stopped selling third-party audio devices and products on its website as it is going to be launching its own fresh audio products there and is all set.
The company was selling wireless speakers and headphones from competitors including Sonos Inc, Logitech International SA, and Bose Corp on its own website. All of these products are no longer available there.
What Has Apple Got To Say?
It has long sold third-party hardware on its website. But all the products and devices from the mentioned brands suddenly disappeared from the online store, pointing to the confirmation that Apple’s bombarding entry in the audio world is not so far.
Employees at Apple’s physical retail locations were also instructed to remove these products for sale at stores in recent days.
Apple said, it regularly changes in the products it sells when a new third-party product is launched and the needs of customers changes. It also said that its store will continue to sell a specific group of third- party accessories and gadgets to help consumers benefitted most out of Apple devices.
It is in the air that it is possible that the first Apple-branded over-ear headphones get launched this year itself while the report says that the company is also working on the area of a smaller version of its HomePod smart speaker. Apple has cleared this physical and digital space, i.e., an online website, to make space for its own products. In 2014, it stopped selling Fitbit Inc. wearables followed by the launch of its own Apple watch.
As of Monday, the only available headphones are it’s own AirPods Pro and AirPods, along with the products from its Beats subsidiary. The only available speakers are its own smart speakers HomePod and Beat Pill+speaker.
Also during this time, a report recently suggested that the tech giant is also working on a revolutionary product, its first foldable iPhone with a self-healing display that would be able to fix normal wear and tear on its own, like scratches and dents.
Well let’s see where this all moves to, but as of now, all we can see is an empty online store of Apple waiting for something big to be filled on it. We have to wait till any official announcement is made or Apple itself launches something.
