The Punisher Season 3 is in the news due to its stellar run. The Punisher is an American web action conspiracy thriller series on Netflix. It is the brainchild of Steve Lightfoot. The show is based on Gerry Conway, John Romita Sr. and Ross Andru’s Marvel Comics ‘Punisher’. The first season premiered on November 17, 2017. the second season aired on Netflix on January 18, 2019. The show garnered a rating of 8.5 on IMDb and 8.5 on TV.com. Talking about the second season, Liz Shannon Miller of IndieWire wrote, “What makes the season work so well is that it feels less like a season 2 and more like season 5, a standalone story in the established adventures of Frank Castle.”
The show revolves around Frank Castle. He is a former Force Recon Marine who is busy unraveling the mystery regarding his family. He goes around with the titular designation to uncover the conspiracy regarding him and his family. Then, moving further into the story, we saw more into murders like that of Amy Bendix. The show shows the mystery that the Punisher wants to unravel and how it affects those around him.
Will we see The Punisher Season 3?
The Punisher Season 3 is the one which the fans wanted to appear on their screens really bad. Like, how bad Frodo wanted to complete his mission. However, Netflix decided to not go forward with any further installments. On February 18, 2019, Netflix canceled the series after two seasons. Where most of the fans aren’t that pleased with the news, actor ben Barnes is pleased. He said, “Now that I know we wren;t going to have a third season, I am actually pleased about that because that makes my story complete.”
Disney+ may or may not pick up the show. However, there is no place for The Punisher Season 3 on Netflix.

The cast of the show included Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/ Punisher, Ebon moss-Bachrach as David Lieberman/Micro, and Ben Barnes as Billy Russo/ Jigsaw. We also saw talented actors like Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Daniel Webber as Lewis Wilson, and Jason R.Moore as Curtis Hoyle.
The plot of The Punisher Season 3
In the second season of the series, we saw the corrupt businesses taking their last breath. this included Russo and tycoons like Anderson and Eliza Schultz. However, Russo’s psychotherapist and lover Dumont unfortunately survived the fall. We saw Madani working with the CIA following the time jump. During the second season’s promotion, Lightfoot talked about The Punisher Season 3. He said, “Look, Frank Castle is the Punsiher. We hope people are like ‘I can’t wait for season three to come back and see what he’s upto.”
What Lightfoot wanted to explore via this Marvel-inspired piece, we don’t know. If he decides to attach the wire with another platform, we might as well see it telecasting.
