Pakistan has been quite silent for a while. However, it feels like with the rising Line of Actual Control tensions with China, it thought that the Indian army won’t retaliate. But, we know the valor of the Indian soldiers and the essence of soil in them. On October 1, 2020, Pakistan troops went berserk and committed a ceasefire violation along LoC. This is one of the unprovoked actions that Pakistan has committed in the past. However, the Indian Army reported that the gave a befitting response as well.
Pakistan tried to pounce at the Indian army
Pakistan tried to ambush the Indian soldiers. This happened in the wake of rising Chinese tension with India. This led to the martyrdom of three soldiers and the injury of four. This unprovoked ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Naugam sector came as an unwarned step. Earlier this year as well, we saw multiple incidents of ceasefire attacks. Over the last eight months, reported incidents of the same violation amount to 3,000. The line of Control at Jammu and Kashmir is always a vulnerable area for the Indian army. This incident further rifted the relations between the two countries.
The violation took place in the Keran and Machhal sectors of the Kupwara district on Thursday afternoon. The crossfire is currently on as a retaliation step. With the approaching winter, the Pakistan soldiers want to move further along the LoC area. However, the marked vigilance of the Indian Army will prove their plans as shortlived.
Fearsome day of very heavy firing across the LoC today in Kupwara, north J&K. After the unprovoked Pak mortar attack this morning in Naugam sector, artillery fire from Pak in Keran & Machhal Sectors this afternoon. Indian Army retaliating. Crossfire still on.
