Punjab Bandh is currently on in Punjab and Haryana. The protest and the curfew are due to the Farm Bills 2020 passed in the Rajya Sabha. Amidst the growing tension between the farmers and the Center, the farmers want to make sure they are heard via the protests. However, most of the time, the voice of a common man gets nipped in the bud. Hence, on September 25, 2020, the entirety of Punjab’s agricultural population has the support of celebrities. These celebrities not only have millions of fans all across the world but also have influential connections. This may act as a hope for the farmers and can lead to some positive consequences. Today, the curfew in the state of Punjab is not only to stand with the farmers and the agricultural labor but also to stand in solidarity with what the state values.
The farmers in Haryana and Punjab also started a tractor rally on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. However, they were water cannoned by the Haryana Police. Today, the day has come when people from all walks of life come together to show their support to the farmers. It is a time of unity between the youth and the experienced farmers. Today marks the time when farmers just want the Center to hear what they have to say by Punjab Bandh. They want the Parliament of India to re-consider their bills because the fears of discontinuation of MSPs and rising control of corporates are high and rising like wildfire.
Punjabi celebrities came forward in support of Punjab Bandh

Famous actor, Sidhu Moosewala also shared a live video along with R Nait and Amrit Mann in which they spoke about how they feel for the farmers. R Nait said, “Farmers are like an engine which supports all the cabins of the world.” They also requested that the protest that three stars are organizing in Mansa should proceed in proper decorum. They do not want any violence, just a normal get together in which opinions are shared.
A logo created for the gathering at Mansa for Punjab Bandh is going viral. The logo’s mantra translated in English stands for “Youth Farmers Unity” against the Central decision to pass the three Bills. The gathering will show how the celebrities act in front of the audience. The protest is also a portrayal of their love for farming. Various other celebrities have also come forward in the support of the farmers’ protest. This shows that the collective mindset of the two states shows complete aversion to the Center’s decision.
What does Babbu Maan have to say about the Farm Bills?
Babbu Maan is an old name in the Punjabi industry. He is a staple name for many generations, from grandparents to youngsters, everyone loves the way he thinks and sings. His words show the mount of wisdom he has. Since the passing of Farm bills 2020 in the Lok Sabha, he has posted various poes and has been consistent in showing his support. The support means a lot and the way the industry has come together is a ray of hope for the farmers.
In the following post, he brought light to the fact the Indian media is too much invested in what’s going on in Bollywood. However, when it comes to the reality of India, 80 percent of it never makes it out into the world, just because the media wants to show what Bollywood actors are doing. He also stated that just like all the other sectors have flourished in the last 40 years, the agricultural sector has not kept up. The mandis are still downtrodden and the farm produce is cheaper than ever, leaving nothing for the farmers to earn. The farmers spend their entire lives going out in the sun and doing manual labor, whilst they get nothing better than they were years before. This shows how much respect the farmers have in the nation.
The “ros pradarshan” will start today in Mansa and this will show how the farmers feel about the Farm Bills 2020. Actor and singer, Diljit Dosanjh, also tweeted that it is not about politics and which party did what, it is about what is happening for the farmers. The issue at hand is not about which political party is right or wrong, it is about which party is doing what’s right for the farmers.
Gal Kisey Political Party di Ni…
Gal KISAAN Di aa .. Te Asi Sare Kisaan’an De Naal An.. 🙏🏾
