Web Stories Plugin is just the boon the web creators needed. The tech giant Google launched a new plugin called Web Stories for Web creators on WordPress. This new feature will offer a drag and drop interface which will facilitate the creators’ journey with more ease. In Google’s blog titled ‘Create compelling Web Stories on WordPress‘, the company explained everything in detail. This new plugin is one of the latest ventures that Google invented to make WordPress a desired space for the creators. Now, the blogs and websites will have social media-esque visual aesthetics.
What will Web Stories plugin offer?
The Web Stories offer a drag and drop WYSIMWYG interface for making full screen content which is similar to Instagram and Snapchat. Earlier this year, Google announced beta and version 1.0, which was the start of a new ea in the creators’ world. The various templates in new Web Stories re-launched in partnership in Unsplash and Coverr. These will offer the users a photo library and the free stock video. Along with that, the creators will also have access to the top-notch content creating tools. These include comprehensive visual editing capabilities, re-envisioned visual media gallery, image masking, gradient editing, and saved colors & styles.
Accelerated Mobile Pages will have a lot of visual aesthetics and further, the WordPress will offer open source Web Stories plugin to allow for community contributions, either to the code or requesting product features. The announcement also included that they will introduce more templates, features, and stock media integrations in the near future. These new features will accelerate the value of the content shared on the site. This is also revolutionary i the sense that Google is leaving no stones unturned in giving the content creators a place where they can do absolutely everything they want to. The company also offers previously fully designed templates.
Google’s official statement
Google is proud to share the new feature in collaboration with visual platforms like Unsplash and Coverr. The blog statement read, “We’re encouraged to see the way Web Stories have already enabled the content creators to engage with their audiences in this more visual and engaging format, and we’re eager to see what this new format can do for WordPress and the web at large.”
So, if you are a creator, the company wants you to try it out right now and tell them via “the plugin directory comments” and share with them your beautiful creations on Twitter or Instagram.
