Trinkets won’t be returning for Season 3. Despite all the love that these series have got from fans and critics, Netflix announced that the second season will be last for the series.
The American teen drama series debuted on Netflix on 14th June 2019. The series is based on a novel of the same name published in 2013 by Kristen Smith. Kristen Smith, Amy Andelson, and Emily Meyer are the creators of the series. The second season of the show released recently on 25th August 2020.

According to Kristen Smith, the co-creator, the show came to a natural end. She recently said in an interview that she felt like they wrapped everything up. They kind of loved and embraced the idea of it being the final season. For her, in her heart, she just wants to know that our new favorite trio is going to be friends forever. The show’s characters will live in our minds forever as best friends. The fans won’t have to see them go to college or get separated from each other.
Additionally, with the show living on Netflix and the book available easily, we can revisit their world whenever we want.
The Plot of the Show
The show is based on a 2013 novel by the same name. The plot revolves around three friends Elodie Davis, Moe Truax, and Tabitha Foster. They became friends after meeting each other at a Shoplifters Anonymous meeting. The characters have different personalities and personas in school, so they keep their friendship a secret. The trio forms a deep bond after finding out that they all have a shoplifting habit. Each of them also finds in the other strength as they navigate their own problems like family and school issues.
