HBO recently premiered its four-part LGBTQ+ docuseries. The fans are overwhelmed and HBO succeeds in capturing their attention. We now wonder what more can the series bring to us in the near future. The actors in the series portray four iconic LGBTQ activists who brought a radical change in the view people perceive love nowadays. The series is coming on our screens soon and therefore, we should better be ready for a realistic outlook on this topic. The series would be coming out this same year in 2020. Equal will also set to feature never-before-seen footages and also, we can expect to learn many things. The show features a handful of those people, who did a wonderful job for the LGBTQ community.

The Release Date Of Equal :

The show makers will feature the release of Equal in the month of October, this very year. We do not have to wait for long to watch the show and this is wonderful. The show seeks to honor these heroes who have fought with those in power to protect the rights of the LGBTQ community. These people gave everyone a new direction and hence, a sense of duty for the protection of their rights. The show is run by the very famous Stephen Kijak who directors the episodes one, three, and four. The other episode number 2, comes under the direction of Kimberly Reed.

The Plot And The Cast Of The Series :

The first episode of Equal stars the Grammy nominee Cheyenne Jackson who portrays Dale Jennings. Dale was a Gay rights activist, who for the rights of such people and hence, was very active in this field. He was one of the foremost members of The Mattachine Society in the 1950s. He also laid the foundation of One Magazine which was the first one in its kind in the whole of the US. Also, the SAG nominee Anthony Rapp portrays Harry Hay. Harry was the founder of The Mattachine Society. His manifesto, ” The Call”, is the call for the protection of the rights of homosexuals back in the year 1048.

Primetime Emmy nominee Shannon Purser and the versatile Heather Matarazzo portray Del Martin & Phyllis Lyon. Del and Phyllis Lyon were a homosexual or a lesbian couple who were together for a span of 56 years and founded Daughters of Bilitis in San Francisco in 1955. We also see the Primetime Emmy nominee & Daytime Emmy nominee Sara Gilbert as J.M. From Cleveland. Furthermore, many more members of the cast will keep joining as the series propagates.
